Yi Jue is an artist who has a long experience living in Asia. During the past ten years, she spent most of her time in the countryside after moving out from the city centre, and experiencing rapid urban and environmental changes happening in China, especially from the city centre to the suburban area in the coastal city. Her work explores the idea of 'Ruins', 'futurism', and a trace of the past, the hint of the 'future' in general urban areas. By symbolically displaying the hand-craft objects, she juxtaposed her experience of immigration and the imagination of time and space.
